South of the Border Golfing Adventure

Mexico is a large country, situated right in between the United States and South America. This is not really the first place one would think of when considering a golf vacation. This could mean missing out on a great and affordable opportunity. Most of Mexico’s golf resorts are located in the lowlands, so the climate is more tropical than you might be used to. Mexico golf vacations might be warm and humid in the summer, but in the winter the temperature will be perfect.

Not only can you find great golf, the rest of your vacation will be diverse and pleasant since Mexico’s climate is so adaptable. Not only is the temperature in the mid 70’s most of the year, but also there are beautiful coastlines everywhere you go. The golf courses in the area are designed to adapt to the natural environment so each one will present a unique challenge. Mexico is also the perfect place for the bargain hunter. The golf tours will be very inexpensive and very worth your time; so don’t be afraid to shop.

The Cabo area of the country is the very center of Mexico’s golf community. This is the area consisting of San Jose Del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, as well as the area in between the two. Cabo San Lucas is renowned all over the world for its nightlife but San Jose Del Cabo is the exact opposite and thrives on its older heritage. It also boasts the nine hold San Jose Golf Course. This is a great place for a day of practice before heading off to the spectacular course at Palmilla Club de Golf. This course will allow you the challenges of the natural environment and accompanying views of the Sea of Cortez.

Puerto Vallarta is another of the country’s biggest vacation spots, but often not thought of for its golf courses. The coast is amazing and the city offers all the excitement you could want from a vacation. But it also hosts a variety of very natural and challenging golf courses. The Marina Vallarta Club de Golf is within walking distance of most of the hotels and restaurants in the area. The Vista Vallarta has two 18-hole courses, designed by Jack Nicklaus and Tom Weiskopf respectively. The Four Seasons Resorts is probable the most unique golf course in the Puerto Vallarta area.

Everyone knows that Cancun is a great place for a vacation. But Mexico golf vacations are no different. You will have no trouble finding things to do on days when you don’t feel like hitting the course, but when you do there are three main resorts to choose from. Probably the best two are the Mayan Palace and Tres Vidas Golf Course. Just north of Acapulco Bay, both courses are close to the main action of the city. But the natural beauty of the course is also something that you just can’t miss.

Backpacking Adventure – Must Have Fantastic Tips

When you are planning your backpack adventure you need to consider what supplies are needed for the trip. On a longer trip this is particularly important and you will need to plan carefully. Be sure to choose a backpack that is large enough for the things you need to take. It must also be comfortable so be sure to try out different backpacks and see which is right for you. It’s a good idea to load supplies into the backpack and not to try them when they are only empty.

So what supplies will you need to put into your backpack to take with you on a trip? One of the most important things you will need for a backpacking adventure is a map and compass. There no point in going on the adventure if you wont be able to find your way! The next item is food and drink supplies. This will vary depending on how long your trip will be. For a longer trip you will obviously need more food including high energy bars and drinks. You should carry a first aid pack in case of any unfortunate accidents.

To enjoy your backpacking expedition it is important to have a way of cooking your food for when you rest for the night together with waterproof matches too. If you are trekking over several days then it may not be practical to carry lots of water so a water filtration system will supply unlimited water. If you are out and about in the hot sun and wearing light clothes then take sunscreen to you avoid getting sunstroke, also sunglasses will provide comfort for your eyes. Take insect repellent to prevent insect bites when trekking in warm weather.
